Computers in Jurien Bay (and other nearby areas) often require repair because of all the dust in the area.
This is a heat sink, a vital component in a computer that is used to keep the main processor cool.
It works like the radiator in a car, but this is so clogged with dust that the computer overheats and turns off before even getting started.
Cleaning it out got the computer going again, but it was just lucky that no permanent damage was done. Only time will tell how this will affect its long term life.
Some symptoms of overheating are:

1. Fan running at full speed all the time
2. The air blowing out is hot
3. The computer slows down
4. The computer keeps turning itself off

You should not remove this and clean it yourself unless you know what you are doing.
It is not that expensive to clean desktop computers. Some laptops can be problematic because it may require complete disassembly to get to the heatsink.

Fisheries launched their new boat and I did some photography on behalf of the Jurien Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue.
It is a pretty awesome boat that is fully kitted out. Cost around $1m and was officially launched by Mr Joe Francis, the Minister of Fisheries.

When you are upgrading your computer to Windows 10, make sure you customise your settings.
By default, Windows 10 is going to track your usage and report back to Microsoft.
It can also consume a significant amount more of your internet quota than previous Windows version.
The download alone is around 4gb, plus there are already quite a few updates and security patches to apply.
Once you get past that, the user experience on Windows 10 is good and easy to adjust to.
It is also free right now, but that will not last forever.

There has been a security breach with the systems used at Hyatt Hotels. This affects people staying at the hotel, as well as anyone who used a credit card at one of their restaurants.
There is a growing trend where hackers are able to put malware onto the point of sale systems used at the hotels. Then, when someone makes a payment the credit card details are stolen.
Hyatt have issued a press release with more information about the breach.
